The Bogan Shiraz

Description

Dark garnet in colour with a nose full of ripe black plums, blackberries, black cherries and hints of savoury spice. The palate is very black fruit driven with touches of blue fruit and very smooth and supple tannins. This wine is elegant, velvety with great structure, length and a good lick of oak on the finish. Just the ticket when searching out premium Barossa Shiraz!

Extra Notes

The two Shiraz vineyards from which this wine is sourced complement each other well – The Marananga block provides intense, old vine produce with particular “blue fruit” offerings. The Nuriootpa block provides more “black fruits.” These two blocks have built this wines strong reputation and style. Very old vine plantings dating back to 1893 help give the Kaesler wines their distinct structure and balance.

Wine Review

The Bogan Shiraz

A stunning example of a premium Shiraz from Barossa Valley in Australia. Very old vines dating back to 1893 on the Kaesler estate help give this wine it’s intense black fruit structure with touches of blue fruit. New and old French oak help give the wine some spice and overall the balance and structure of this Shiraz is just spot on.
