Spatburgunder Herzfeld Troken
Description
Spatburgunder (also known as Pinot Noir) is fresh, and a lighter style of wine compared to the nearby French style of Burgundy. This Herzfeld Spatburgunder has a wonderful aroma of dark berries and floral notes, and on the palate it is silky smooth. This limited edition wines is long, complex and truly delightful.
Extra Notes
Based around the town of Leistadt, South West of Frankfurt, their vineyards sit on a limestone reef within a beautiful national park in the shadows of the Haardt mountains. They specialise in Riesling and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), but also make this lovely clean, fresh Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) which offers incredible value.
