Rutherglen Muscat
Description
Aromatic notes of rose petal, Turkish Delight with notes of ginger, dried fig, espresso and sticky raisins. The palate is balanced and complex with flavours of rich raisin fruit, dried fig, and cumquat. The finish is longa and persistent that is opulent, yet with a sense of fantastic freshness.
Extra Notes
The Rutherglen range is blended from several vintages with an average age of two to four years. It is the youngest and freshest tier of the four classifications: Rutherglen, Classic, Grand and Rare.
It all began in the 1850s when the Stanton family travelled from England to try their luck on the Victorian gold fields. It wasn’t long before they turned their attention to the liquid gold that came from vines and the Stantons worked hard to establish a vineyard and winery that endured many setbacks such as phylloxera, drought and the Great Depression.
