Orchard Block Pinot Noir

Description

The Orchard Block Pinot Noir shows a pretty bouquet of roses, red cherry, raspberry and red apple that flow onto subtle smoky wood and dried herb notes. The palate is dense with an elegant body of red berries, cherries and lavender with mild toasted notes from the 18-20 month oak ageing, giving us some additional savoury notes. The finish is long and smooth with supple tannins running throughout. A lovely New Zealand Pinot Noir that will age beautifully over 10 years+.

Extra Notes

Folding Hill is a small family owned wine company that makes premium wines from fruit grown entirely on its own 11 acre, vineyard in Bendigo Central Otago. Originally planted entirely in Pinot Noir , which is now certified organic , subsequent plantings have included Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Virtually all viticulture is done by hand and yields are managed to provide optimally ripe fruit that allow our wines to fully express the beautiful site they come from.
