Morandé Estate Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
Very light in colour yet extremely aromatic, with prominent grassy notes, lemongrass, elderflower, and some white flowers. Really zesty on the palate with yellow melon, guava and a little mango. Great length, great acidity and quite simply delicious.
Morandé was founded in 1996 by Pablo Morandé, and found immediate recognition both domestically and abroad. Morandé are true pioneers – they were the first family to develop the Casablanca D.O., recognising the fantastic potential of this cool-climate wine region. They also led the way in reviving old viticulture regions such as Maule and Itata, working with old dry-farmed bush vines and unconventional varieties such as Carignan, País and Cinsault. All of the wines are produced with grapes from Morandé’s own vineyards. Their winemaking philosophy is guided by seeking the right terroir for each grape variety, and with significant vineyard holdings they are well placed to achieve this.

Tastes & Tones
This is one of the most internationally recognized wine regions for the quality of its wines. Its primary geographic condition is its maritime influence, which enters from the Pacific Ocean and produces morning fog that moderates the temperatures. This characteristic encourages optimal vineyard development, which demands special care to reach the desired ripeness.
The varieties that grow best in Casablanca are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir.
