Hahn Monterey Pinot Noir
Description
This Pinot Noir’s charismatic aromas include red cherry, ripe strawberry, cola and spice. Flavours of plum and black cherry are completed by a soft mouthfeel. Supple tannins and a bit of acidity end in a beautifully balanced and clean finish.
Extra Notes
The founder, Nicky Hahn, grew up speaking German. In his native language, the word ‘Hahn’ means rooster, which is why a depiction of this bird has always graced the label of our Hahn wines. From the beginning, Nicky strove to produce exceptional varietal wines from Monterey County where Hahn’s vineyards and winery are located. The grapes for this charming, fruit-forward wine grow primarily in the cool-climate Arroyo Seco region of Monterey County. This region sits on a gravelly alluvial plain at the foot of the Santa Lucia mountains. Cool winds from Monterey Bay ensure gradual ripening and ideal development of vibrant flavors. After harvest, we age this wine in French oak (40% new, 60% neutral).
