Hahn Chardonnay

Description

Aromas of lemon, orange peel, pineapple, lychee, and a hint of creamy toasty oak. Bright acidity welcomes the palate, leading to a perfect balance of creamy citrus fruit and subtle butter toast flavours that culminate in a lingering, clean finish.

Extra Notes

The grapes for this wine were grown primarily in our estate Lone Oak Vineyard, which sits at the northern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation and is cooled by ocean breezes from the Monterey Bay. Morning fog lingers here while the wind picks up in the afternoon. These unique conditions lead to a long, cool growing season that allows for perfect ripening of the Chardonnay, creating well-balanced, flavourful wines.

Wine Review

Hahn Chardonnay

We love this wine at Tasting House. A wonderful clean crisp example of quality Chardonnay for a fantastic price.

Region

Monterey County

In the heart of California’s Central Coast, Monterey County AVA lies just inland from the deep “Blue Grand Canyon” – the largest submarine canyon along all of North America’s shoreline. Each day, chilly Pacific wind and fog sweeps into the valley, funnelled between the Santa Lucia and Gabilan mountain ranges.
