Gladstone Pinot Noir

Description

An intense hit of fresh black cherry with smoky spicy notes, balanced with alluring floral highlights. The palette is elegant with great fruit length and silky tannins. Chocolate, coffee and oak combine beautifully, with the plush juiciness and soft acidity.

Extra Notes

Gladstone Vineyard is in Waiparapa Valley, one of the country's oldest Pinot Noir producing regions. Since 1986, vineyards have been planted along the terraces of the Ruamahanga River, with a free-draining soil profile of clay over stony silt loams. This provides optimal ripening conditions for the grapes that is unique to the region. With time, maturity has been developed in the vineyards, thus bringing on incredible fruit concentration that lends well to the style of winemaking.
