Diamantakis Assyrtiko
Description
Pale - medium gold colour with fresh apple and lemon flavours. In the mouth the wine is quite full bodied with great acidity and a touch of minerality. The finish is long, rich and complex. This wine has great extra long aging potential.
Extra Notes
Diamantakis is located southwest of the city of Heraklion, outside the village of Kato Assites. The region has a long history in vine cultivation and the production of wines and spirits.

Crete
Modern winemaking on Crete began in the 1970s, and today, the island is host to four PDO-level appellations: Peza, Arhanes, Dafnes and Sitia. These are complemented by six more-generic regional appellations: Chania, Rethymno, Lasithi, Kissamos, Heraklion and Crete itself.
