Bric Cenciurio Barbera
Description
Ripe aromas of black cherries, liquorice and delicate spices. Full-flavoured and weighty, yet bright and fresh in the mouth. Deep and complex, with juicy acidity in the finish making for an excellent food wine.
Extra Notes
Bric Cenciurio is a small, family owned and run producer based in Barolo, with twelve hectares spread across three different different sub-regions. As well as their Nebbiolo vines in Barolo itself, they have Arneis planted on the sandy soils of the Cenciurio hill, from which they take their name, and Barbera in Magliano. From a state of neglect, the Barbera vineyards were painstakingly restored in the early 1990s and these old vines (60 years old on average) now produce very high quality wines which are elegant, fresh and finely balanced. All their wines are very good value for money.
