A Virtual Trip to Oak Valley, South Africa

The second in our virtual “summer event” series, sees us take a trip to South Africa, where we will join the outstanding producer, “Oak Valley”.  Well over a century has passed since the pioneering accomplishments of Sir Antonie founded Oak Valley Estate in 1898,  which today lies in the heart of the Elgin Valley.  Its an area renowned for its apples and pears, its greenhouse cut-flowers, and off course, for the production of its outstanding cool climate wines.

We are always so excited to team up with a South African producer.  The pandemic has proved particularly difficult for wineries in this country, with so many restrictions being placed on its’ people, leading to tough times for the industry.  The wines are always spot on and with such a great line up, there will be plenty to take away from this evening.

Our on-line, via Zoom, tasting is a great way to learn some key facts about a subject, but more importantly, provide an opportunity to all do something together during this period of restrictions.

Our virtual tasting will last approximately 2 hours and will be hosted through a private Zoom page, during which time you will be able to ask questions and make comments. We will deliver out to you the day before the event, a little box containing at least 6 wines, some charcuterie and the tasting notes you will need to keep a record. We hope you can join us with your friends and make this a great community event.

We offer free local delivery via our personal delivery service on all event orders , within a 10-mile radius of the shop. For orders over 10 miles we charge a standard rate of £10. These orders will be delivered via our personal delivery service or Courier Service depending on the distance involved.
