2019 Langmeil Wattle Brae Riesling
Grapes for this wine were sourced from a small single vineyard high up in the Eden Valley, at 480 metres above sea level. The vines are 45-46 years old, planted on sandy loam and decomposed granite soils, and are dry-farmed. Harvest took place in mid-February. The grapes were destemmed, crushed and drained; only the free-run juice was used. This was cool fermented in stainless steel tanks, and bottled without oak or malolactic to retain freshness and purity.
Pure, classic Riesling aromas of granny smith apple and citrus blossom are followed by a dry, elegant palate full of zesty lime and apple flavours
