Wine Tasting Events
Our Wine Tasting Events are a wonderful way to relax and do something a bit different. We try to make them informal yet informative and cover many topics, countries and styles. Whether you know a little or a lot, our events are pitched in a way that you will help you learn something extra about the fascinating world of wine.
Taltarni Sparkling Shiraz
Absolutely delicious red fizz from Victoria in Australia. Made in the Champagne method, with lots of blueberries and raspberries on the nose. The palate is velvety smooth with juicy black fruit and herbaceous notes. An absolute obvious BBQ wine or indeed great any time of the year.
An absolutely stunning Chardonnay from Margaret River, Australia. Beautifully put together with lots of zesty citrus notes, sweet pear and subtle toasty notes.
A stunning, deeper style, rose from the beautiful region of Bierzo, Spain. Lots of red fruits and citrus notes, with extended maceration to give us more structure.
Hahn Pinot Noir
A beautifully soft style Pinot from Monterey Bay in California.
Lanzerac 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon
A really beautiful example of premium South Africa Cabernet, with lots of dark fruits, herbaceous notes and a great tannic structure.
The Bogan Shiraz
A stunning example of a premium Shiraz from Barossa Valley in Australia. Very old vines dating back to 1893 on the Kaesler estate help give this wine it’s intense black fruit structure with touches of blue fruit. New and old French oak help give the wine some spice and overall the balance and structure of this Shiraz is just spot on.
A great little wine that punches massively above its price point. 100% Tempranillo, it’s youthful in character but with bags of ripe red fruit and some blackberry on the mid-palate. Great structure with prominent tannins that make this a fab wine to have with lamb.
Lo Petit Fantet
One of my favourite reds from Corbieres in France. Beautiful ripe raspberries and black cherry with undertones of eucalyptus. A really fun wine, certified biodynamic with no sulphur to ensure the wine is pure as can be. A true joy.
What makes us different?
Well, we’re local, independent and we are absolute wine nuts for start.
Everything we stock, we try (lucky us) and we carefully analyse each and every wine according to price point. We work with smaller family estates as much as we can as well as growers who work sustainably and care about their land. We offer free local delivery (*) and we are constantly on the search for new wines. We are not afraid to experiment and we do all this with you at the very forefront of our stocking strategy.
We never compromise on quality and we really care about what we do. So, join us on the journey and never look back!
